Industry Tour: Robbins Manufacturing

Description

As part of Economic Development Week you are invited to experience an exclusive behind the scenes tour of Robbins Manufacturing in Columbia County. Attendees will be escorted throughout the campus and leave with a comprehensive overview of the largest saw mill in our area. Closed-toe shoes are required for this tour; no exceptions.

About Robbins Manufacturing: 

Welcome to Robbins Manufacturing Company.  In 1938 our company was founded as a saw mill operation.  Later, in 1948 we began treating wood products with CCA preservatives.  Today, we are known as a premier provider of Wolmanized® Heavy-Duty™ Wood to the agricultural, marine, and utility industries.  Our products are available to retail and independent dealers throughout Florida and the Southeastern part of the country.

We produce a majority of the fence posts, marine pilings, and utility poles that we sell through our distribution operation.  We have the largest production facility in Florida where we annually produce over one million cubic feet of poles and pilings in addition to over one million fence posts.

We are innovative and responsive.  Our retailer and distributor partners know they can pick up the phone any time and get a thoughtful answer to any lumber-related questions.  All our associates are cross-trained in every aspect of our business to ensure that they can respond promptly and efficiently.

About Economic Development Week: 

In collaboration with the Columbia County Economic Development Department, the Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the debut of the Columbia County Economic Development Week in 2024.

This exciting week-long event kicks off with an engaging breakfast seminar on the intricacies of economic development. Throughout the week, attendees will have the chance to embark on enlightening tours of diverse sites across the county. Culminating in style, the festivities will wrap up with an exclusive luncheon tailored for esteemed stakeholders, investors, and invaluable community partners.

Our aim during this significant week is twofold: to honor the unwavering commitment of businesses and industries that have continuously invested in Columbia County, and to collectively chart a visionary course for its future growth and development.
