Community Vigil For Opioid Awareness and Support

Description


This vigil will bring together community members, families, service providers, faith-based organizations, first responders, educators, and local leaders to raise awareness about substance misuse, honor lives lost to overdose, and promote hope, recovery, and prevention resources within our community.

Purpose of the Vigil

·       Increase community awareness about opioid and other substance use and overdose prevention

·       Provide education and access to local prevention and recovery resources

·       Support families and individuals affected by addiction

·       Promote collaboration among community partners

·       Encourage healing, remembrance, and hope

We welcome organizations and community groups to participate by:

·       Hosting an informational resource table

·       Providing educational materials or prevention resources

·       Sharing brief remarks or messages of hope

·       Offering recovery support information or services

·       Sponsoring candles, refreshments, or memorial materials

·       Volunteering to assist with event coordination

Your presence and participation will demonstrate our community’s collective commitment to prevention, compassion, and recovery.
