Join us as we honor history, freedom, and the power of community during the 3rd Annual Florida Emancipation Day Celebration!
Presley EXCEL and Scholars Program, Inc., the Presley Learning Center, and Miracle Tabernacle Girls of Distinction proudly present the 3rd Annual Florida Emancipation Day Celebration, sponsored by the youth.
The Florida Emancipation Day Celebration will air on Angel Radio Network 107.9 FM on May 20, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and will also be featured on the Hour of Excellence Podcast beginning Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
This year’s featured speaker is Dr. Christopher Esing, professor at Western Wyoming Community College and historian of economic history with a focus on Florida’s development from the Civil War through World War II.
A special presentation of President Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation, originally delivered on January 1, 1863, will be presented by Idrissa Presley-Peterson, Chair of Presley Learning Center, Inc.
